About ME

I started to learn the piano when I was seven and have been playing ever since! So after more than 50 years, I am still in love with playing and still learning new things. Passing on my love of the instrument and seeing others discover the lifelong pleasure and enjoyment it brings are at the heart of my approach to learning. My pupils hold a 100% pass rate in graded exams up to and including Grade 8 and I am happy to teach to diploma level. I hold a Guildhall performance diploma (LGSM) myself and have given numerous public recitals. 

Until its closure at the end of 2023, I also taught through the Loughton Valley Arts Centre.

I have an up to date enhanced DBS check for safeguarding purposes, appropriate Public Liability insurance and am a member of the ISM (Independent Society of Musicians) with RPT (Registered Private Teacher) status.
